It doesn't take long for me to get my head on straight
After every time I take the path I hate I know my fate
I walk into temptation till it's way too late and every day
The pressure leaves me feeling lesser. I deserve to feel this way.

I compensate. I quit the race, I'm off the game
Im feeling strong I tell myself my promise made will never change
But any day I'm off my game my demons all come congregate
I know it's wrong, resist the pull I always underestimate

I try to live the life I want to demonstrate
Been searching for salvation, but I'm just a man for heavens sake
It feel I have to struggle till the day that I see havens gate
But every time I fall I know I push my future far away

I hide my face. () The fault is mine and I'm ashamed
If I can't tame my vices on the path I take I can't be saved
Devices of destruction show their face when I'm about to break

How the hell can I defeat an industry that preys on me
I pray to keep my way but man I stray too fucking easily
It seems to be depravity's the only thing that's saving me
I'll pave the street with reasons - all these demons always chasing me

If I only had a shield, I could hide my face with ease
Always fighting that appeal, struggle with complacency
Lessons that I have to feel to be the man I need to be

I know my path is tainted. () my future now is clear to see

Canadian rapper, Oneman (aka. Josh Ellison), draws from experience working with a variety of genres, such as classical and orchestral, rock, and EDM. His first exposure to the rap style was from the likes of P.O.D., Linkin Park, Thousand Foot Krutch, and Eminem.

As a self-produced multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Ellison works to develop a song's narrative throughout the structure. At times, he desires to express existential trials of the human condition through his lyrics, while at other times he comments on his observations of the industry surrounding him.

Ellison has yet to perform on stage as Oneman. Throughout the past 15 years, however, he has performed live classical piano, fronted many bands, and performed as an EDM DJ. Oneman is featured on the remix version of Young Manny's "Booze, Blunts, Bitches".

Currently, Oneman is preparing to release his first full-length song, "Helpless", and is blueprinting his debut album, "One-Mission".
